It's the only L I can afford...got it for $500 used. Almost bought the `17-40L but I like the wider angle of the Sigma 12-24 better.

i like my 90 - 300mm USM
but the only set back is the limited range .. .

how id love the 28 - 300 mm L series ^___^ yuummmy

I've only got the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 and the 50mm f/1.8
I like both, but I think I use the 18-55mm more, especially for the wide shots which the 50mm can't do. - like group pictures.
Other times, I really like using the 50mm lens - even though the 18-55 can reach this, and I don't always shoot at f/1.8 using the prime is nice.
