I've just setup GIMP and find it more difficult to learn than the photoshop programs I'm used to. Would like to give it a good chance here, but find myself thinking about switching back to photoshop and getting something better than Elements since it only allows for photo editing and I need to be able to design logo with and without my photos. Suggestions and links appreciated. Thanks!

I have not tried any of these, and use your own discretion re the sites themselves. i.e run them through Anti Virus first. They are probably all ok but it's your pc not mine.

Type 'Gimp tutorials' into google and see what comes up.
I thought photoshop elements could design artwork. My original elements (version 0) could. Type 'new' to get a fresh blank sheet, and paint or draw on to it. Save as a jpeg or gif if animated.
Of course the newer versions may not support what the original did.

I heard a long while ago that Gimp was the next best thing to PS (and free). I would not recommend anything unless I had used it myself though. I only recommend the recommendation.
