Boats and Melbourne Skyline
#1

Took this one at St Kilda Beach, while walking on a pier after dinner with Adam. The cityscape in the back is the Melbourne CBD...

I remember seeing this pier when I was in Melbourne, although it was a lot colder and raining!

I really like the way the eye is drawn into the picture via the pier and the golden highlight on the building.

Something does not sit quite right with me though but I cannot quite put my finger on it. Perhaps a closer crop taking out some of the space on the right which feels a little featureless/empty?

Just a thought! Big Grin

Thanks everyone, I had to play with the levels to get the colours a bit more saturated.

I just noticed too that the horizon isn't straight... doh! Big Grin

Beautiful capture of this harbour. I like to see the huge city in the background.
The light is just perfect Smile

How can you live in a place like that? Isn't it boring? (lol--just kidding)

Does anyone remember Ava Gardner? 3 smilies to anyone who remembers when she was in Melbourne many years ago.

PS I love Melbourne and hope to get down there again one day Smile
