Hello everyone! I finally managed to register! This computer stuff is almost beyond me.

Gosh thank you everyone for this thread, there is lots of good reading here. I want to buy a long zoom lens too.

Do you think it is better to buy over the internet or in store? I think over internet, I can get it about $100 cheaper.

As long as you buy from a reputable dealer, internet should be okay. Be sure to check their rating at www.resellerratings.com - there are MANY scam dealers out there!

Congrats Chomp! Just remember too, over the internet it's harder to return or exchange stuff - usually the shipping etc. is at your cost.
