I'm just interested as to what memory card prices are like locally - they seem to have taken a sharp drop recently, not that I'm complaining! According to this article from Lets Go Digital:
I recently bought 2 x 2GB Sandisk cards - a normal one for $40 and an extreme II for $50 AUD, and this was from a local store in the city, not online. I'm sure you can get cheaper generic branded ones, and even cheaper if you search online. I cringe when I remember paying $140 for a 2 GB card just one year back...
Interestingly as well, Kingston have just announced that they'll be launching Vending machines for memory cards in the UK...
Quote:The average price of a memory card had changed little since their introduction in 1996, staying at around £31. However, this has fallen over the last 6 months with the average price in February 2007 being just £25. Consumers can now purchase a 2GB Secure Digital card for as little as £4.88, as the market becomes increasingly competitive, and consumer looks to web sites to purchase these cards.http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/13929/fl...ory-price/
