Clampette
#1

Hey... just spotted this contraption:

It's call the Clampette, and is basically a clamp with a swivelling tripod screw. Pretty nifty idea methinks - you could clamp your camera to stuff without lugging a tripod around.

Yes.

Mind ewe, I've seen some nicer versions, (but I cant think where, as I've only been out of the basket for 5 minutes.... 07:50).

Hey since you're the new guru and googler extraordinare ST how about you find me a nice vehicle clamping system that has some form of vibration damping?

Unfortunately I can't afford the $20,000 US gyro stabilised mounting systems Smile

Lol... why don't you just get IS on your lens/camera? Big Grin

I'm not sure that IS works at 140kph! Anyone who has tested it I'd love to hear their opinions. Actually the only lens I'd consider getting with the IS is the 100-400 which would be no good vehicle-vehicle in close proximity. The new 17-85 might do the trick especially at that nice wide angle, wonder how it works for that though.

Hey I think Slej has/had the 28-135 IS, might get an opinion yet Smile
