Contre-jour
#1

Don't you just love wikipedia? I searched for the term and it brought up a whole lot of interesting reading material, especially the list of terms down the bottom:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Photography

For example, did you know that contre-jour refers to "photographs taken when the camera is pointing directly toward the source of light"?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contre-jour

Or that there are 6 main composition techniques? (though some seem pretty similar to me)

Or that re-photography is the "act of repeat photography of the same site, with a time lag between the two images; a "then and now" view of a particular area"?

Thanks wikipedia! I'm much enlightened now... Big Grin
