Just wondering. I bought one and find it very helpful when I play standing up, at the expense of a little bit of bass response. Thoughts?

If your amp is near a wall, I suppose you could just tilt it back to rest on the wall so it angles up?

My practice area is an unfinished room in the basement, and if I do that the bass gets too boomy.
My main reason for using a stand is to better hear the mid and treble tones. If it's on the floor and I'm standing up, then the highs get lost.
Here is a discussion on amp stands for those interested (no dogs allowed!):

at church, I put mine on a stack of two chairs and tilt it up to me, and have it mic-ed up.
At home, I play, sitting on the floor, with the amp also on the floor

That's basically my objective, but given the opportunity to buy a new gadget, I'd rather get the stand than use chairs!

Come see me and you may get one....
I'd like an amp stand, but I'm not sure if my wife will authorise my purchase order...
God has placed me on earth to accomplish certain things.
Right now, I am so far behind that I will never die.
