Well, I bought it on the theory that I could take it along when I didn't feel like lugging around my DSLR...but I am such a geek, I take the DSLR just about everywhere anyway. AND I have been sinking some serious money into new kit lately and need to recoup some of it. BTW, camera also includes an extra battery! That's like a $35 value right there.

I'm tempted. What is the battery life like? That was the only thing that I didn't like about my Canon S40 - the absolutely pitiful battery life.
