Fake model photography

Movie makers often take shots of scale models and try to pass them off as the real thing, but who does the opposite - making real photos look like they're fake scale models?

Well here's a cool tutorial on how to turn normal photographs of scenery / buildings into fake "scale model" shots...

It's quite amazing - the effect makes it look like you built a miniature model of the scene!

Basically he applies a mask and selective blur, to give an impression of really shallow DOF, and then plays with the curves to saturate the colours (for that fake effect).
