Hello, I would like to know if anyone can advise me. I have a Vivitar 285 HV flash and wish to use it on a Olympus E-1 digital. Will this cause problems, I have read about burning my circuitry with the wrong flash....Thanks....G.

Welcome to Shuttertalk.
It is a generic unit that is supposed to work in any hotshoe. you do of course have to set power manually.
