I'm not saying this is wrong (I know far too little about Photoshop to do that), but I always use Camera Raw and just check "Conevert to Grayscale". Isn't that... easier?

This is one great learning curve for black and white Ed! Worth the read and trying Smile

Yeah I do it also in the Camera Raw and sometimes in lightroom. I guess it depends on your how you wanted your images to end up. I have lightroom presets and editing that wont look good no matter what but Camera Raw can get it too fine with a few little twitch in the settings. Sometimes I jump over from one platform to another. Smile
