I am from eastern Canada currently spending the winters in the south. I mainly shoot birds in action (if I can get them) and shoot landscape For stationary birds (e.g. Rookery) prefer to use a 70D with a Tamron 150-600. For my active bird shots and amazing AQF I use a Canon 5D Mkiii with a 100-400 (without the 1.4 converter) as the 70D withe the Tamron simply does not lock in quickly enough.

Welcome to Shuttertalk.
I shoot wildlife and birds also, how do you like the Tamron 150-600?
I am currently trying to decide between the Tamron or the Sigma Sport.

Welcome, Whitehall. I am mainly into landscape myself.
Ask yourself, "What's most important for the final image?".
