I took this moon shot in August
I need to know if there is a general setting for Moon Shots please

Camera Model Canon EOS 650D
Lens EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM
Exposure mode .... manual exposure
Exposure time ....1/125
F Number ....f/11.0
Lens Aperture ....f/11.3
Shutter speed ....1/128
Focal length .... 400.0
ISO 100
Flash .... None

I then took the image and Colourized it with a blue tint
And added a layer with bats and a wolf.
(Just for Fun!)

Love the effects, just shows what can be done with layers, also appreciated the info, this makes it helpful to other (such as myself) who would also like to take a Moon Shot

I adore shots like these! I bet that when you took the picture it looked crystal clear through the viewfinder - cameras are awesome like that, just like mini telescopes. Smile

what a fantastic shot (first 1) such great detail in the moon, i like that you can see the impact craters and the dust spread. and the detail of the craters on the bottom left of the moon and at the very top. very impressive, i know when shooting the moon in film Looney 11 is used. i can only assume that f.11 is the same with digital.

do like the post production as well Wink
