Horse tail
#1

Equisetum hyemale or rough horsetail in UK. Each of these stems are thinner than a drinking straw. taken with my NikonAW110 compact. Held down low, nearly at water level. Processed in Elements and with a Nik colorfx plug in filter to boost the contrast an d add a vignette. Wanted to give the feeling of the image being taken whilst wading through the swamp, rather than standing on the boardwalk.

Well spotted Dean, one I would have walked, or really, waded past, super. Ed.

thanks all. A local wildlife photographer recommended moving from the normal stance of taking photos rom eye level and trying lower shooting positions. Can give a whole new perspective.

Great image and treatment. This is moving into the area of abstract art.
