In the properties of a photo you have got EXIF Metadata.
You have got
Orientation upper left
X resolution
Y resolution
Resolution unit 2
and so on

Can anybody please tell me what is meant by the Orientation saying upper left? :/

I'm guessing that Orientation refers to the position of the camera, whether it was held in "landscape" or "portrait".
As for which is which, I did a search and found this http://www.arlesforum.com/index.php?showtopic=1615 in which he says
Quote:OK, the "right upper" is the equivalent for "Clockwise 90°".
So upper left may be the other way. (landscape)
