Kodak Easyshare P-series

Looks like Kodak is launching some competition to the Canon Pro1 and S2 IS cameras - aiming to compete in the prosumer category.

The P880 is SLR like, with zoom twist ring and full manual controls, featuring 8 megapixels and a 24-140 mm equiv. zoom.

The P850 is a 5 megapixel camera with a 12x optically stabilised zoom lens.

The P880 sounds quite interesting - the wider angle lens certainly adds a bit over the competition, and it looks very SLR-ish. It seems that with each release, the line between DSLR and prosumer camera is becoming finer and finer... although most DSLR users would turn their noses up at the EVF, I'd imagine. Big Grin

Certainly would.

My experience of Kodak cameras has been that the lenses have been very sub-par, as was the low light performance.
