Konica Minolta 5D
#1

Hey, Konica Minolta have announced the 5D, an entry level / cut down version of the 7D. I think it's pretty interesting, seeing that it incorporates Anti-Shake technology - where the sensor is stabilised instead of the lens.

I found a preview here:

It's only 6 megapixel, but has a nice large 2.5 inch LCD and also ISO 3200...

oooo.. looks very interesting ST.

Looks like another contender in the "Entry-Level DSLR" market! Great news for everyone I think, as this kind of competition can only drive prices lower and specs higher.

The screen looks great, and having the anti-shake built into the camera body has obvious advantages over building it into lenses.

But... I guess the proof is in the pudding. Fingers crossed it performs as well as it promises.
