Light Room Presets
#1

I received an email about Lightroom presets that are supposed to make using the program easier. It may make it easier, but I think some of the "Before" photos are better than the "after" photos. The "after" photos have too much yellow/orange light for my tastes. Here is the website: http://ShutterTalk.com/LightRoomPresets/

I know everyone's monitor is different. I've looked at them using three different computers, lap top and desk top. Do you think the presets are Good, Bad, or somewhere in between which is where I'm at right now.

Note that I've had a free trial of Lightroom on my computer for almost a month now and have only tried using it a couple times. I'm lost on how to use it and have been too lazy and too busy to spend time on the tutorials that can be found on line. I might buy the presets just for that reason.

There are plenty of free presets out there....You just have to hunt them down!

Thanks for your input. I'll look more into the presets before deciding. I have a photographer friend that will help me out with the program. Perhaps she will have some recommendations.

I don't currently have Lightroom but am about to buy in a few weeks when I return from holiday. Have just bought the Phil Steele Lightroom course. Found it very informative. Have also recently picked up some ebooks on Lightroom which came with free presets. Will let you know how I get on. Joby

Interesting! Digital Photography issued some free presets this month with the magazine which I have downloaded but failed to discover yet how to import them into Light Room! If anyone knows....? Jeff
