Luebek bw
#1

Two scenes of Luebeck that I treated using a program G bought few months ago. It is a HDR simulation method called ReDynaMix. Then I made my bw conversion. I didn't like the program at the beginning but I worked with it today and I like the effect on these two images.

Very nice photos. It made me wish to have the software and I went to check it out. I know howver, that the trick is not the nice software but the photographer using it and so i will wait. Pavel

That's nice...does it cope with the skyline OK in your opinion?( I'm not sure Photomatix does for me, as I'm interested).
Did you burn in the top and edges in addition, Irma?

No it doesn't work better than Photomatix, actually it works worse, and makes your picture noisier. In the first picture I post processed twice, one for the sky and one for the building and then mask. The outcome alone from this programm is really not so fine as you could do it with other programs/techniques.

Here is another picture I worked with this program, as you can see in the grass there are many black spots, and this picture was post process after I worked with the program reducing opacity in some places with masks to lessen the effect.

Irma, I like these effects in combination with your bw treatment. for the breakfast table I am not so sure what I should see, but I don't know what the program does in detail.
your first shot is a good one for old and new!
