This is taken in Manchester on a dull day in December 2006
The building on the left is the library and on the right the town hall.
There's a sweeping alleyway between the two buildings and it's somewhere I want to go to again as there are so many
great angles and beautiful architecture there (IMHO).

Fantastic - see if you can pump some more contrast in to the shot.

Thanks.
It was around 4PM
I selected the triangular section of the sky with the magic tool in photoshop and just increased the contrast and decreased the brightness!
I have no idea if that is the correct/best way to do it but the sky was flat and grey looking before I did it.
I'm not that happy with the colours/contrast - I think I need to spend some time working on it.

This is a geat picture, indeed.
I would suggest to change the sky in this one, your picture has very clean lines, it will be easy to change. One of these days that you have interesting clouds take a picture to the sky in the same format you did it with your picture. Work with the sky and the building layers separately, to get light, color and contrast in the building, and then work in the sky with color balance to match this one with the building.
It will look even better.
