Mic comparison video
#1

If you're thinking about using an external mic with your DSLR for recording video, here's a comparison of some budget and high end mics which is quite interesting. The reviewer actually let's you listen how each of them sounds, and also how good they are at filtering out background noise and isolating the subject. He also uses a few different types of microphones and demonstrates their characteristics.

Use some headphones or turn your speakers up so you can tell the difference.

Next question - squeaky ones or computer ones?

Depending on your answer, a nice long holiday might be required. Big Grin
