My Maton MS500 Mastersound guitar
#1

Ok, here's my own Maton. It's a little beat up, but it sings beautifully and I'd like to think it has character. I took it apart because I'm servicing it at the moment. Had to change the tuning machines (those knobs on the headstock), polish the metal bits and adjust the action a little.

My Maton, dismantled...

The lovely sunburst finish on the body...

And a close up of the neck. You'll see some scratches on the headstock where a screwdriver I was using to repair the tuning machines slipped accidentally - OUCH!

And finally another shot of the neck. The rosewood fretboard has just been rejuvenated with a good rubdown of orange oil.

Hahah, yeah, don't forget -- the clamps and pliers are not part of the guitar... Big Grin

Yeah I'll try to remember not to put back more than I pulled apart! Big Grin

Pulled it apart because I had to change the tuning machines over - one of them was rattling everytime I played an open 'D'. Ticked me off to no end...
