My new toy
#1

The bass is very much my "second instrument", but I do know what I like.
The other Sunday I traded in my 5-string ACG bass and got a very good deal on this:
Oh my: It's a Status Graphite neck-through S2 Classic 5-string.

The sound?

Well, you remember at the end of Close Encounters of the Third Kind, when that mega-spaceship turns up, goes PARRRRRRP!!! and blows all the windows out?
OK then...it's as if you've condensed that into an 88mm antitank shell which has been subcutaneously inserted into the front end of a charging rhinoceros that is very, very angry....

Where do you stick the proverbial dog end then shaun? :o
As for myself, I never liked the headless versions. You can't give them a quick tune up whilst in the middle of a number, a la Fender. Wink

Ah but, ah but....:|
it is honestly easier to tune on the fly, as the pegs are rotaries that you can see between the bottom strap buttons...and these headlesses are ridiculously stable, what with the graphite. However, you have me in terms of where to put the cigarette; a spare pair of budgie-smugglers for the gig, I reckon...! Smile

I'm with Rob on this - I don't know anything about guitars, but your product photos are great.

Both are beautiful pictures... Specially #1... Very meaningful picture, the instrument (straight lines and soft curves) against that texture and desaturated background.... Smile
