New Old Lens: Quantary 70-300 mm AF with macro
#1

Bought this lens on E-Bay for $60. It works with aperture priority autofocus and has a good macro feature at 300 mm. First experiments below.

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/

i have several quantray lenses including an old manual focus one. They are good for the money, they may not be equivilant to the nikon trinity but their prices are equivilant either. the same Korean lens company that puts out lenses under the pro master and vivitar labels makes the quantray lenses specificaly for Ritz cameras stores.
