I over sharpened the last one. I need to go back & fix it. I was just so excited I go in a hurry. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Hey Wannabe, thanks for sharing the pics, and welcome to Shuttertalk! Good to have you onboard, and feel free to join in the conversations... we're all pretty friendly round here. Big Grin

I really enjoyed those, especially reading about the "Old Rugged Cross". We've sung that ahymn a few times at church, so it's great to know where it came from! Big Grin

Do you really still ride horses around town there? :O
It is a really nice hymn, thanks for sharing, I never knew about it's history.
Is the fence there placed around because it is a heritage site? Is the church still in use?
I like how the 2nd picture shows the grain on the wood, which isn't very visible in the first picture.

LOL not really. This is a very small settlement in the middle of no where.

The fence is there because it is being restored.
Is the church still in use?
No but you can take tours of it.

If you like I can give you some links about it. It is very interesting.

That first one is a real cool looking old building. The grain really adds to the image. In the last image though I'd be tempted to use a noise removal software. Are you familiar with Neat Image or Noise Ninja?

Sit, stay, ok, hold it! Awww, no drooling! :O
