Harmonics @ Fret 7
#1

I was learning how to play an Avril Lavigne song (My Happing Ending) when in the tab before the chorus it said "Harmonics at Fret 7"

What does that mean?

Haven't head the song... but to get harmonics, you lightly touch your left finger on the string and pluck the string with your right hand. Should be like a ringing sound...

"Harmonics at Fret 7" probably means to do it at fret 7.. not sure which string they're after though. Smile

You can create harmonics at other frets too - e.g. 5, 7, 12... just play around....

Practice your harmonics at fret 12 first. You'll have to touch the string right ON TOP of the fret to get the sound.

You'll have to pluck a little harder and touch a little lighter on the 5th and 7th frets, but you'll get the hang of it. Smile
