Photo Manipulation Detective Work
#1

If you're keen for a bit of CSI action on how to tell whether a photo has been digitally manipulated, this article shows some very interesting techniques. Basically involves looking beyond the a natural looking photograph into stuff like artifacts and non-random patterns - very cool!

Next time you reach for that clone tool, beware - someone might be doing some detective work on your photos! Big Grin

I've been running the digital section of photo competitions for a PSA affiliated Club and council for the last 4 years.... the Nature, Travel and PJ sections are allowed color correction, sharpening and exposure adjustments only. I have seen a LOT of entries where cloning is obvious, but as they are run on the honor system, it is upto a Judge to disqualify an image, in all that time only 1 image has been disqualified. Seems some people aren't very observant LOL.
