Well done Ed. Possible training exercise?. Unusual to see ten jets in formation. I think that the norm is nine. Could be a rare shot.

Great photo. That was them returning from Arbroath, Festival Of Heroes. Must pop the smoke on when they pass over major population centres.

Ask yourself, "What's most important for the final image?".

Really a disaster. was assured they would approach from the West, made sense, as they were flying over Peebles, then Tweedbank, locally. Came from North, heard initially, not seen, until they passed overhead , was at 200MM mm, lens maximum. Could not find in viewfinder, ,optical, so rapidly zoomed out, 18mm, and managed 5 shots, this was one of them. Smoke disperses quickly, so the farthest away was the best. Challenge for P/S, their credit. Doubt if I will see them again.
Did get 40 mts. trip in a Vampire, 1954/5 exhilarating. Ed.
