How do I resize a layer in PSCS?

Helps if you use a descriptive title too, instead of just "Baffled".

Do you want to resize an entire image that is made up of layers, or do you want to resize just a single layer?

If the whole image - ignore the layers and do an "Image Size" from the Image menu. This will resize all layers at the same time.

If you only want to resize one layer while leaving the other layers intact:

- Choose the layer that you want to resize from the layers palette and do a "Select All" from the Select Menu.
- go to the Edit menu and select Transform->Scale. Scale allows you to manually resize the layer with pull points - or to guarantee that you preserve your aspect ratio - use the % boxes at the top of the screen to resize the layer dimensions - i.e. 50% width and 50% height.
- double click to apply transform.
