Scanned vs Digital
#1

I think digital may be good, but nothing can beat the quality of slides scanned in. Am I right? I say this because magazines and publications only accept slides.

I shoot almost all slides now - Velvia 50 primarily - and it is true that the quality is better and that many publications and stock photography agencies accept onlt slides (digital is catching on - but to match the resolution of Velvia 50 - you would need a 14 Megapixel sensor).

The flaw is in the scanning - you need a great scan to do the slide justice. Digital is much easier to post process.

Ha ha, what are you all doing here then! Get yourself film cameras and throw out your digitals!!!

I don't see a conflict there. I use both. I prefer difital, but use film for my "pro" work.
