I find the knots in trees quite fascinating. Maybe a series as there is plenty of variation.

I do think you're onto something here Don, as this sort of textural work with "planes" of focus can also be deeply explored with your 135mm. I know I'm a fair one to talk, but I'd almost be inclined to resist the temptation to over-process/sharpen.

Thanks NT and Zig. I'm going to look for more subjects and try some real macro-panos.
