ShutterTalk Digital Photography Contest February 2015: Outstanding Colors


Category: Outstanding Colors
Contest Begins: February 1st, 2015
Contest Ends: February 28th, 2015
Open To: ShutterTalk Digital Photography Forum Members
Contest Type: International Photography Contest
Prize: Amazon Gift Card (Undisclosed Amount)

Guidelines:

Submit up to three photos of digital photographs of some of your best photo shots showing outstanding colors. The photograph should show a unique way to view colors. More post processing of the original photo is allowed with this contest - providing balance in achieved in the process to provide a nice final result.

Images must be posted here in this forum thread and be owned legally by the contributing member. Please also submit information about where the photo was taken along with some brief details.

Digital photography entries should be family friendly and be taken within the last 90 days from the date of entry into the contest. The photograph should be interesting and draw the individual into the scene and have few distractions.

Judging

Judging will consider different criteria including, but not limited to, creativity, relevance to category, and photo quality. Judging will occur when the contest ends and results will be posted in the forums as soon as possible.

Winning Multiple Times During Monthly Contests - NEW

A member can be chosen as the winner twice within a six month period. This will even the "playing field" to some degree to allow other members the ability to enter their high quality photographs and have the opportunity to also be chosen as the winner during a new monthly contest theme.

Please refrain from commenting on other's posts in this thread until the contest end date.

Ok, I'll start it off. I'm too new at this to be scared..........As is is, I have been working on colors and special effects and happen to have something I've just done. it is special colors and effects on a fern type plant with very orange red seedpods. i will include a pic of the original if requested to verify. Anyway, I love this!

Found these line floats to have quite an "outstanding colour" Not sure if one colour qualifies or it has to be many outstanding colours... Smile

Hope I got it in the right place this time. Intense cloud colors right before dark and as a rainstorm was subsiding.

Like so many others I went to the 'Sea of Red' WW1 commemoration at the Tower of London. I found he impact difficult to describe photographically so finally I selected just one.

details:Cloud cover,, hand-held Canon EOS 6D, Tamron 150-600 at 310mm, 1/60, f/11, ISO 400,+1 exp compensation, fill flash

post processing: PS CS6, duplicate layer,base layer desaturated to mono, upper layer select single poppy in mask and delete background to reveal mon below.
