Contest Type: International Photography Competition (Contest)
Prize: Amazon Gift Card (Undisclosed Amount)

NOTE: This contest will be for the month of December.

Guidelines:

Submit up to three photos of digital photographs of some of your best photos related to the Winter time of the year. This is an open category and can include a variety of styles of photography - people, places, things which provide a sense of the Winter season in some way.

For this particular competition, the photos do not have a time limit on when they have been taken. Photos entered can be from years ago, as well as more recently. They just need to be posted in this thread by the end of the competition to be counted within this contest. 

Images must be posted here in this forum thread and be owned legally by the contributing member. Please also submit information about where the photo was taken along with some brief details. 

The photograph should be interesting and draw the individual into the scene! We look forward to seeing your photographs!

Judging

Judging will consider different criteria including, but not limited to, creativity, relevance to the category, and photo quality. Judging will occur when the contest ends and results will be posted in the forums as soon as possible.

Winning Multiple Times During Monthly Contests - NEW

A member can be chosen as the winner twice within a six month period. This will even the "playing field" to some degree to allow other members the ability to enter their high-quality photographs and have the opportunity to also be chosen as the winner during a new monthly contest theme. 

Please refrain from commenting on other's posts in this thread until the contest end date.

We don't get snow in my part of the UK very often, so the arrival of a small amount was something of a treat. All taken in Manual with a FZ-200, through an hole in a supermarket plastic bag.
1/50 @ f/4 ISO200 11.4mm ( equivalent 68mm ).

No snow this far south, so here is a sun rise taken on the 19 December 17 with my EOS M5-22mm -1/100-f16-ISO 250

Snow has arrived in West Sussex here are two from this morning,

1) looking South towards Trundel Hill, Canon 7D mk2  70-200 l 2.8 mk2 1/125 f8 ISO 100

2) Exmoor ponies in the snow on Levin down  Canon 7D mk2  70-200 l 2.8 mk2 1/60 f8 ISO 100

2010 was a bad winter.
Minolta  Dynax 5D, 28/200mm Tamron 35mm camera lens .
All taken within 10 yards of house.
 Note the cigarette in the car cleaners mouth, lived there for about 40 mts, he then moved 3/4 yards and was completely stuck.  Ed.

Not only do the Aussies have the cheek to win the cricket, they then add insult to injury and send us Aussie flu !
