A New PC should probably be on my list.... this one is about to have it's 4th birthday! Had new ram, HDD's, video card, CD burner, DVD-Rom, USB 2 card, Firewire card.... I think the only original componenets are the PSU, MB and CPU! But everytime I have the cash for a new computer I buy a Digital Rebel, New Cars, 19" screen, i9900 Printer!

Well, at least this one still proicess photo's Smile

Congratulations on the new machine Smile Sweet looking system.

I found a bit of info on the hacks. Here is one site that you can get a hack for an NEC dvd burner. Note the model #. http://www.cdrinfo.com/forum/tm.asp?m=66772&mpage=1&key=

I'll use it mainly for everyday home use (net surfing, email, etc), but also for audio recording/processing and I'll try my hand at DVD editing this year too.

The system (excl monitor, mouse, printers, etc) cost me A$1,674. I sourced it from scorptec.com.au because they're about 5 mins from where I work.
