I have decided that instead of going for a bigger zoom I will really get better results and more all round use going for one of these, anyone using one? Thoughts? I will be using it on my Pentax Ds of course, next on the list will be a 18-50mm EX F2.8.

Well you can't complain about the constant 2.8 aperture...
I think the zoom range is very usable as well.

I agree, as it is we get better zoom ratio with our digital SLRs, the 2.8 apature would be really good, nice and fast. I think that lens would cover you for most situations.

I am also looking at the 18-50mm EX F2.8 for the same reasons. Probably end up paying AU$600-700 each though so I will not be doing them this week, may have to save up for just a little while, you know how it is with 4 kids, mortgage, etc.
But which one to get first?????
