The Picture Framer
#1

Thought I'd offer this one up for critique.

This fellow runs a framing business and a second hand bookshop. To get into the bookshop you have to go through his framing room. When I saw all the wood and the single window I thought it would make a great picture so I asked him if he would oblige and he was more than happy.

I only had the tiny GM1 with me as I wasn't on a photo trip, just a ride into town. But more and more I'm growing to like micro four thirds.

23mm (46mm in real terms, as m43 has 2x crop factor), f/4.9 1/160, ISO 800. Handheld.

Great Photojournalistic shots, of these two I think I p[refer the first, the contrast seems a little higher and the blacks a little darker.

Very nice work Derek.

Cheers guys. I took prints of both of these to the fellow in the pictures today. He was very pleased.
