As cute as s/he is, Pine squirrels are one of the most aggressive mammals out there. They chase away the much larger black and gray squirrels and the smaller chipmunks also!

Ok, Not the same squirrel, but same type on a different day. It also includes a neat tail-flip for the pose!

They are very quick though. By the time I had set my lens to tele it was off.
So a week later,but not as fast. If at first you don't suck seed... Lumix LX5. Canon 350 D.+ 18-55 Kit lens + Tamron 70-300 macro. + Canon 50mm f1.8 + Manfrotto tripod, in bag.

Success at last NT!
Taken today with the new Bigma. It's a little soft, didn't screw the tripod tight, kind of hand-held it while mounted on the tripod. F11 at 417mm.

This is very much like my last Squirrel shot. He was 3 feet from the patio door and Tasha was getting quite twisted. I should have gotten a shot with her in the photo but the patio door is filthy from dog nose.

how adorable! we have one that peeks in our window all the time, I can never get a clear enough shot of him (by the time I get my camera, he's gone). You've totaly insipred me.
