This Morning's Efforts
#1

Thought I'd practice my getting up early. So I went down to the canal before dawn and waited for the sun.

A beautiful set of images. I love the early morning light. Looks like you were even up before the swan!

Ask yourself, "What's most important for the final image?".

I love the saturation of the first two, especially the second one. A perfect exposure.

Yes, it was very dark on the walk to the location - through a field full of cows and another full of horses. I had no idea what I was stepping in!

I really like these. You pulled a lot of detail out of the shadows. Great!

Nikon D3100 with Tokina 28-70mm f3.5, (I like to use a Vivitar .43x aux on the 28-70mm Tokina), Nikkor 10.5 mm fisheye, Quanteray 70-300mm f4.5, ProOptic 500 mm f6.3 mirror lens. http://donschaefferphoto.blogspot.com/
