In august I am going to Sorrento for a 7day holiday ,I know there will be a great deal of photography of all sorts being done by me.the question is ,what do I take with me.I have
1 sony a58 with a sony35mm prime,sony 18-55,sony 55-200mm and a tamron 18-250.
2-sony dsc hx200v bridge camera

Optical zoom 30x
Clear image 60x
F 2.8w-5.6t. F=mm
Focal length 4.8-144
Focal length
F=35mm conversion
27-810
Lens-Carl Zeiss

I assume the less to pack is better but what is the best setup to take, all help would be appreciated with thanks.

If you are not bothered about RAW Just take the HZ200V only, it will be crowded and hot so the last thing you want is big heavy camera bag round your neck.
If RAW is needed take the Sony A58 with the Tamron 18-250 instead.
Have a good trip, John.

Hi Andy,

What Ed has said is good advice. The Sony DSLR with the Tamron Zoom and whatever flash unit you use will be very effective and not too heavy to carry about. Plus much better image quality than you'd otherwise get.

Let us know how you get on, and don't forget to show us some of your photographs.

Regards.

Phil.

I do like the hz200v with its big zoom and ziess lens but it will be close .the sony hx200v does have a lot more restrictions but quality is good.and so is the 30zoom,but I have this nagging in my brain that the sony a58 SLT could do better -your thoughts john
