Not photography related, but I thought this sped up video of an Russian Antarctic expedition was mesmerising to watch. It basically follows the progress of a ship through the ice as it visits various outposts and installations, ferries equipment to various places via helicopter, etc. Just under 10 minutes long.

Very interesting ST.

One of my kiting friends has been to both the arctic and the antarctic within the last 4 years. She went to the antarctic on the ship that sank, a few months after her trip. Too cold for me though.
