Spotted this on photographyblog - brilliant idea from Lowepro, great for times when you just want to grab a camera and not be encumbered by 10 kg of gear in a bulky bag but still want your camera to be protected.

The quick case is lightweight enough that it can hang from your camera strap when "opened".

Seems to go for about $45-$55 AUD round these parts...
I wish they had made it before I bought my other 10 cases. Big Grin
This is much like the old cases from 30 years ago - but with a few new bells and whistles,
you want something quick and comfortable - this may be for you http://buy.cottoncarrier.com/cotton-carr...511ccl.htm. When done shooting, you put it back in your regular bag

Hehe yeah, just needs some brown leather to make it authentic Big Grin

Pavel, thanks for the link - looks a bit like the BlackRapid system which I reviewed...

Julian,

There are now many systems like BlackRapid. I saw 2 or 3? on a show this Friday. The one I like is quite different.
1) The weight is on the hips and not on the shoulder. This is important for me and my comfort over longer periods.
2) The camera does not flop but instead sits firmly against your hip in the holster. Again a big difference if you are climbing, walking on rough terrain or kneeling down
You're right Pavel... come to think of it, it sound more like the spider holster that Chris mentioned...
