These two guys were walking on the roads in the hills near where I live, unfortuantely I forgot to hit macro the lens so didn't get the depth of field I needed, not all legs are in focus.

Taken with a Canon 300d and a Quantaray 70-300 LD.

right... okay... let me know when I can come back down from the ceiling.
A Village 30 miles north of here has a festival every October to celebrate these things, there are literally hundreds of them all running around to find mates in late autumn. I wasn't brave enough to climb from teh car to get these Confused
Gaaargh!! Get it off! Get it off! :o
The festival of getting NO WHERE NEAR CALIFORNIA sounds like a beautiful thing.

Those things look like they could eat cars, so I'm just glad you're still alive.
You have FAR more dangerous spiders down there in Oz.... Redbacks, Funnel webs... these things sting is no worse than a bee sting.... Still not gonna try it myself though!
Nice shots, Craig. I like the banding of the paving on the first one.
Thanks Smile Th eYellow line on the first one is around 4 inches across... give a sense of scale.
