this little fox kit - probably about 4-6 months old - was playing by the side of a road in Mt Rainier national park. his den was just a few yards from the road, in among some large rocks. he seemed fairly accustomed to people, and let me get within about 20 feet to get some shots...

Very handsome looking thing, although the first one has a bit of a menacing look to it!
