Hey found this while surfing for more stuff to add to the resources directory:

http://www.gfoto.com/

Apparently, you get 1G of storage, FREE!

From their site:

With Gfoto completely free service, you can:
# Store up to a gigabyte of your photos.
# Share them with friends and family.
# Create public or private albums.
# Watch your albums using your own URL.
# Organize and sort your photos and albums.
# Link to your photos from everywhere on the net.
# Join a community of professional and amateur photographers.
# Take control of your digital assets with rich photo editing tools.
# Order your Photos (soon)
Hmmm... it looks to good to be true... which brings me to the old adage, "if it looks to good to be true, it probably is!"

The service looks really good and I can't find anything in the terms that looks too bad, they admit they'll put you on their "promotional marketing list"

Other than that looks okay, looks like they are trying to make money with the printing service.
did u guys manage to find links to any albums there? would like to check out how fast the pictures load and how they are laid out.

would also help convince me this isn't some sort of email harvester thing Smile
I found one...

http://www.gfoto.com/UserAlbum.asp?uid=5...70DE4&alid=

Pretty slow to load here at work, but then our connection sucks.
Yeah, a bit slow... and they superimpose a Gfoto.com watermark on the bottom right corner when viewed on the web (they say "The Gfoto.com logo will not appear on the photo" when printing I believe)

But still... 1 GIG is a lot of space... Smile
Looks good. I've been using http://www.dotphoto.com So far so good. They appear to offer hosting, but I don't know what the space limitation is. There is no mention of size limits in the T's & C's on their site. So far I've been able to upload plenty and response time seems good. They do have paid accounts as well. Looks like they are angling for reprint sales.

Has anybody else had any experience with them?
Hey Lars,

I've used dotphoto quite a while back, but only for prints. Most of those printing companies (e.g. ofoto, shutterfly) store your photos for a period (like 30 days) after which they get deleted. Either that or you pay a subscription fee.

I dunno, things might have changed...
