Funny how we were just talking about megapixels the other day -- these people have put together a 2.5 Gigapixel image out of a 600 photo composite, measuring an incredible 78,797 by 31,565 pixels!!!

It's awesome - use the viewer and you can zoom in to particular sections (wait a bit for the image to clarify itself).

Another one -- this time 1Gigapixels, made by stitching together 196 photos, measuring 40,784 x 26,800 pixels.

This will be great for all of us guys with photo printers that print on 40 x 60 meter paper.

At that size Toad it would cost me approximately $140,000 US to print it. I'm sure there must be better commercial solutions
