just a couple of roses from the botanical garden yesterday... the 100-400 is really handy for getting close-ups without having to step into the garden beds, and it produces wonderful bokeh at wide apertures!

5D2, 100-400L @ 400mm, 1/640 @ f/7.1

5D2, 100-400L @ 250mm, 1/6400 @ f/5.0, -1EV to keep the colors from washing out...

thanks! that lovely bokeh is partly due to the 100-400L glass... it's surprisingly good for isolating subjects and providing a nice blurred backdrop. of course, the 5D2 helps too!
