Very good shots! I like them all.
3 and 4 really capture the pit action - 3 benefits a lot from having less clutter in background, and more dramatic poses - but both excellent.
I also like 1 and 2 - all great shots.

Lovely shots, lschmekel!
My favourite has to be #3 (move move move) -- the composition on it is excellent and it captures the moment.
#1 is interesting as well... what are those white puffs in the background? Fireworks? Anti-aircraft flak?

All I see are 3 dotphoto logos.

is it just me or is that flag 'upside down'... I guess they didn't think of that when some said: "Hey, you know what would be cool? Why don't we..."
Great shots, though personally, I would have knocked the shutter speed down a tad to get just a touch of motion blur... might've needed an ND filter for that though, given the bright daylight.

Thanks guys,
Yes, the puffs were fireworks, but unfortunately they just used the concussion fireworks during the day, not star shells.
The flag was upside down, until it turned corner 4 and passed the stands, then it was oriented correctly for crowd viewing. Couldn't get a decent shot as it drove by because of the safety fence.
Good idea on the filter, I've only got a UV filter on the 100-300 Canon zoom that I used.
It was a great weekend!

You Americans are so action oriented. I love the freezing of movement in these photos.
