Nice set of images Don - what is your technique in production. The noise factor is evident but as a whole do you use a pre-set filter in such as photoshop ?

Thanks Peter. I use a range of filters in Paint Shop Pro to try to capture more of what my eye sees, not what the camera sees. I always have problems with noise but I'm willing to live with it. I like to use local tone matching that pulls details out of the shadows and the over-exposed areas. The flower is a wild hibiscus. It is a grand white bloom in the summer.

Thanks for your reply Don; Photo manipulation as you describe is something that I haven't ventured into but I often wonder how work such as yours is accomplished - very nice it is and most individual.
My mention of noise was not a criticism, I took it to be part of the intended process.

Ah! I should have recognised the hibiscus, especially after having had a working lifetime in horticulture. Age must be getting the better of me
