Genus Nicrophorus - many species
The burying beetle/Sexton beetle - a pair of these beetles will bury the corpse of a small mamal by excavating beneath it and using it to incubate and then feed their larvae

I might easily have missed it if it hadn't been for the flash of colour. There was another one but ridden with parasites and not very nice to photograph.
